The musical outcome came as a journey into an immersive sci-fi experience!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\" style=\"font-size:18px\"> The music sounds like layers of textures driving hypnotic melodic passages which develop into beautiful choral layerings. The more you listen to it, the more it becomes impossible to escape the exquisite and complex quality of this picturesque and imaginative universe. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Between 2018 and 2020, I composed four orchestral pieces inspired by cosmology research and using space scientific sonifications. I studied as deeply as I could about <strong>colliding black holes<\/strong>, the <strong>cosmic microwave background<\/strong>, <strong>dark energy<\/strong>, and <strong>neutron stars<\/strong> <em>-It was so exciting that I seriously thought about doing a degree in astrophysics<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-elements-0e84826a22c3cacad162ea6f936bf2c3 has-text-align-center has-link-color\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Each composition was a theoretical challenge, but through the efforts of understanding the science, my imagination was rewarded with different compositional possibilities, giving different meanings to the sounds I explored. For my piece about colliding black holes, called &#8216;Cosmic Transients&#8217;, I <strong>collaborated with Dr. Radoslaw Jan Wojtak from <a href=\"https:\/\/dark.nbi.ku.dk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DARK Cosmology Centre<\/a><\/strong> in Copenhagen (Niels Bohr Institute), who is specialized in black holes. This collaboration was key in grounding my compositional process through structural development, and feeling the emotionality of the researcher while engaging in scientific and artistic conversations -the beauty of cross-field interactions!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Overall, I like to think that this project was about <strong>finding synergies between science and music<\/strong>, building an emotional connection between the audience, and ground-breaking scientific discoveries. I believe that creating art that aims to disseminate such spectacular topics, can create a sense of wonder in the listener, and with it, a new perspective on reality.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n<div style=\"border-color:#f1f1f1\" class=\"wp-block-ub-content-toggle-panel wp-block-ub-content-toggle-accordion\"><div
